VENDING/VIP
SERVERS DEPARTMENT – POSITIONS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE
No arena experience would be complete without
tasty and refreshing food and drink being available to Guests
enjoying the hockey game or concert in their seats. Our Vendors
and VIP Servers ensure our Guests have a great time enjoying
our food and drink without missing a second of the unforgettable
action. Please note that these are part-time, event related,
union positions (other than supervisors).

Vendor
Our Vendors quickly move about the concourse advertising the
products they are carrying and reading Guests to find those
who look hungry or thirsty. The Vendor then politely offers
Guests the product, pours/prepares the product and makes change.
Each Vendor is responsible for alcohol intervention including
carding Guests, monitoring, and recognizing signs of intoxication.
This is a commission position; a hard working energetic vendor
doing very well for most events. Vendors sell beer, soda,
snacks and other special food items.
Qualifications:
The right candidate is friendly, loud,
energetic and fast working. He/She must carry product (some
times up to 70 pounds) around the building including up and
down stairs. Candidates must be able to quickly and accurately
make change in their head. Candidates must be at least 21
years of age to sell alcoholic beverage. You must be able
walk during an entire event in a cold arena. Vendors usually
work evenings and weekends and must be available to work 75%
of the events in the building.
Vending
Attendant
A good Vending Attendant is essential to a successful vending
operation. The Vending Attendant prepares the product for
use by the Vendors, this includes preparing popcorn, snow
cones and cotton candy as well as getting beer and soda ready
to distribute. He/She is also responsible for keeping a count
of inventory and keeping the work area clean and organized.
Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds three to four
times within a scheduled shift.
Qualifications:
The right candidate is friendly, polite,
and energetic. He/She must carry product (some times up to
50 pounds) from storage areas. You must be able stand during
an entire event in a cold arena. Vendor Attendants usually
work evenings and weekends and must be available to work 75%
of the events in the building.
VIP
Server
Our VIP Servers deliver top-notch waiter/waitress service
during Blue Hockey games to our Guests sitting in the exclusive
seats “On the Glass”. VIP Servers must develop
a rapport with each Guest, actively seek out orders and assist
Guests in making food and beverage selections during the event.
The servers accurately record orders into handheld registers,
ensure the Guest gets his/her order in a timely fashion and
closes out each Guestâs transaction giving accurate
change as necessary. VIP Servers are responsible for alcohol
intervention including carding Guests, monitoring, and recognizing
signs of intoxication.
Qualifications:
The right candidate is outgoing,
polite, friendly, and service oriented. He/She must be willing
to engage each Guest and offer to “up-sell” product
to them. Candidates must be able to quickly and accurately
make change and operate a computer handheld. Some food service
experience as a server preferred. You must be able to walk
up and down stairs during an entire event in a cold arena.
Sometimes VIP Servers are required to lift/carry 25 pounds
during a shift. VIP Servers usually work evenings and weekends
and must be available to work 75% of the events in the building.
