DEPARTMENT – POSITIONS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE
When Guests
come to a sporting event, concert or family show one of the
first things on their minds is food and drink. Whether itâs
a world class hotdog, handmade pizza, crispy hot chicken finger
or your favorite beer or soft drink, someone has to prepare
these items and serve them to Guests quickly and accurately
so they can enjoy the event. Please note that these are part-time,
event related, union positions (other than supervisors).

Food
Service Host
The Food Service Host is the first person encountered at each
Concession Stand and it is critical that they make the Guest
feel welcome. The Host assists the Guest make menu selections,
pours drinks and quickly and accurately records the transaction
in the register giving the Guest his/her change and food in
less than one minute. The Host doesnât have long to
make an impression so they must be sure they in proper uniform,
that the food and drink is properly prepared, that the stand
is clean and be thankful toward every Guest. Hosts are also
responsible for alcohol intervention including carding Guests,
monitoring, and recognizing signs of intoxication.
Qualifications:
The right candidate is friendly,
polite, fast working and detail oriented. He/She must be willing
to engage each Guest and offer to “up-sell” product
to them. Candidates must be able to quickly and accurately
make change and operate a register. Some computer experience
or register experience required. Candidates must be at least
21 years of age. You must be able to stand during an entire
event in a cold arena. Sometimes Food Service Hosts are required
to lift/carry 50 pounds during a shift. Food Service Hosts
usually work evenings and weekends and must be available to
work 75% of the events in the building.
Commissary
I
The Commissary person in each stand is responsible for ensuring
that each delicious food item is quickly and properly prepared
according to menu specifications. The Commissary operates
fryers, steamers and other food service equipment. He/She
is also responsible for food sanitation and ensuring that
each food item is safely prepared and stored. The Commissary
person monitors inventory and keeps all equipment and the
stand clean.
Qualifications:
The right candidate is friendly,
fast working and can handle multiple orders at once. He/She
must be able to communicate the status of orders and supplies
politely with other employees. Some cooking experience preferred.
You must be able to stand during an entire event in a cold
arena. Sometimes Commissary Is are required to lift/carry
50 pounds during a shift. Commissary Is usually work evenings
and weekends and must be available to work 75% of the events
in the building.
Stand/Cash
Supervisor
Each concession stand has a cash and stand supervisor to ensure
that it runs properly. The Cash Supervisor maintains each
standâs bank, distributes starting bank and change to
each point of sale, monitors and supervises Food Service Hosts
to ensure cash/charge transactions are quick and accurate,
taking corrective action as necessary. Stand Supervisors record
and maintain inventory of each item, managing Food Service
Hosts and Commissary Is to ensure that food items are properly
prepared and quickly served, inventory is recorded and that
the stand is clean, taking corrective action as necessary.
The Stand and Cash Supervisors are responsible for overseeing
alcohol intervention including carding Guests, monitoring
and recognizing signs of intoxication. They also engage Guests
with concerns and quickly and politely resolve complaints.
The Stand and Cash Supervisors will occasionally assist other
staff by cooking food or operating a register.
Qualifications:
The right candidate is friendly,
polite, detail oriented and assertive. Previous supervisory
and food service experience preferred. He/She must be able
to effectively communicate rules and policies while leading
and motivating the staff. Candidates must be able to quickly
and accurately make change, operate a register, and have mathematical
aptitude to maintain inventory and monies from hundreds of
transactions. Some computer experience or register experience
required. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age. You
must be able to stand during an entire event in a cold arena.

Area
Supervisor/Auditor
Area Supervisors oversee numerous concessions operations ensuring
that each area is quickly handling Guest orders and properly
recording monies and inventory. Area Supervisors assist Stand/Cash
Supervisors, Food Service Hosts and Commissary Is with opening,
closing and recording each standâs bank and inventory
taking corrective action as necessary. Area Supervisors will
be relied upon to resolve Guest and employee incidents, issues
and complaints from beginning to final resolution while documenting
the incident. He/She is also responsible for monitoring alcohol
intervention for a designated area ensuring that the staff
he/she supervises is properly carding Guests and monitoring
alcohol consumption. Auditors do much of the above focusing
on correctly accounting for inventory and monies from each
stand for each event and recording that information.
Qualifications:
The right candidate is friendly, polite,
detail oriented and assertive. Previous supervisory and food
service experience preferred. He/She must be able to effectively
communicate rules and policies while leading and motivating
the staff. Candidates must be able to quickly and accurately
make change, operate a register, and have mathematical or
accounting aptitude to maintain inventory and monies from
hundreds of transactions. Some computer experience required.
