On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 14-16, the Professional Bull Riders elite Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) heads to St. Louis’ Scottrade Center for its 17th appearance with the Top 35 bull riders in the world and the best bucking bulls in the business. Each rider will face off with a an opponent nearly 100 times their weight in sinewy brawn during 8-second battles where only one athlete will be left standing. The action begins Friday at 8 p.m., Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.

Former World Champions, Silvano Alves (2011, 2012), Renato Nunes (2010), Kody Lostroh (2009), Guilherme Marchi (2008) and Mike Lee (2004) are expected to be in the lineup in 2014, as well as the streak slayer J.B. Mauney, the first man in four years to ride the “unridable” Bushwacker, ending the bull’s record-setting buckoff streak at 42 buckoffs.

In addition to great bull riders, the series’ best bulls will also be in attendance. Bushwacker was the featured bonus bull at the 2013 event and extended his record-setting buckoff streak during the 15/15 Bucking Battle. The best bulls in the industry compete at each stop along the BFTS.

St. Louis will be the seventh stop of 27 on the 2014 PBR Built Ford Tough Series schedule. The season kicks off Jan. 3-5 at the “World’s Most Famous Arena,” Madison Square Garden in New York. It will conclude at the PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals in Las Vegas on Oct. 22-26, when the 2014 PBR World Champion, the bull rider who amasses the most points during the 2014 season, will receive the coveted World Championship belt buckle and a $1 million bonus.

The BFTS is televised every week on CBS, CBS Sports Network and networks around the world. BFTS telecasts are produced for the PBR under a multi-year agreement with David Neal Productions, a Los Angeles-based production company led by 34-time Emmy Award winner and Peabody Award winner David Neal, who serves as executive producer.
