Database Administrator (full-time position)
Status at this time: Closed

Selected candidate will interact with all levels of management and staff, as well as establish and maintain external vendor relationships. Develop, install and operate all database management systems, aggressively expand and maintain team’s email database, ensure total integration of all customer data, ensure its integrity and accuracy; ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures, has actually built logical and physical data and process models that were used to implement a system; manage hardware/data security. The Database Administrator will conduct sampling tests and analyze data and results to determine effectiveness of marketing and promotional programs; make purchasing recommendations for direct response purposes; prepare database reports and lists as needed and serve as technical support to Sales staff. The qualified candidate must be able to work in a team environment, have excellent communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with business and technical communities; possess excellent planning and analysis skills, demonstrate ability to be productive with minimal supervision. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field with 2-3 years IT experience.

Inside Sales Representative (full-time position)

The Blues are seeking a sales-oriented individual who will be responsible for selling season tickets and partial plans to companies and individuals for Blues hockey games. The specific responsibilities of the selected candidate will be to make cold calls from provided lists to area companies to sell season ticket packages and partial plans, work all Blues games to generate sales leads and to support ticket sales initiatives, and meet all department guidelines and sales goals. Qualifications: Highly motivated with a desire to be successful, aggressive, competitive and committed to sports industry. Ability to work long hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Premium Sales Representative (full-time position)

This position requires aggressive, competitive, professional, self-starters that are passionate about sports. Responsibilities include selling and servicing premium ticket packages and developing new sales by establishing contact with the top 500 companies (and others) in the St. Louis Metro Area. Essential duties and responsibilities include: selling Club Seats, Plaza Center Level Seats, Suites and Group Party nights via cold calls and direct sales contacts as well as servicing current accounts in an effort to maintain/increase current renewal. This will include creating and implementing unique sales strategies, creating additional package value and may include in game and post game responsibilities. The selected candidate must have excellent communication, interpersonal skills and analytical skills. Must have the ability work independently and have solid decision-making skills. A working knowledge of Ticketmaster’s Archtics software, Microsoft Office applications including database and presentation programs are required. As some sales activities will occur during events, must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years sales experience within professional sports is also required. A base salary commiserate with experience plus commission and excellent benefits package is available for the right candidate. Sales Administrative Assistant (seasonal, part-time position)

Responsibilities include answering and distributing telephone calls and voice mail messages; receive and resolve guest concerns and handle a large volume of phone activity. Administrative Sales Assistant is also responsible for assisting sales executives in filing, copying and mailing out event confirmations to key accounts. Also responsible for gathering information, creating, copying and distributing event seating charts, message boards and party reports. The selected candidate must have exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with many people at a rapid pace; have the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest and percentage; ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals and technical procedures; demonstrate outstanding writing skills; be proficient in handling multiple tasks and deadlines. Some knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel required. PageMaker and Microsoft Access a plus, but not required.

Sales Coordinator (full-time position)

Primary responsibilities will be to create and coordinate all group sales promotional advertisements, flyers, mailings, etc., group sales corporate and industrial flyers for all events, the development, printing and mailing of the “Group Scoop” bi-monthly newsletter and mailing of corporate promotional flyers to group sales accounts. Other duties include invoicing all group reservations, receive and resolve guest concerns and track group buying trends in a weekly sales report. Position will also include a large volume of phone activity, knowledge of all events at Scottrade Center and developing event related flyers and order forms. The selected candidate will be a creative self-starter with excellent communication (both oral & written) and organizational skills. Candidate must also be proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically PageMaker and Excel. Also required, a minimum of one year experience in sales and marketing.

Sales Customer Service Representative (full-time position)

Primary responsibility is to provide added value to season ticket holders in order to increase sales renewals. Selected candidates will service season ticket holder accounts and assist Sales Executives with various administrative functions, which include daily calling to account holders, answering questions and concerns, data entry as well as managing season ticket holder account database. Selected candidates must have exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with many people at a rapid pace and handle a large volume of phone activity. Excellent oral and written communication skills are also required and candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office. The ability to work irregular hours including evening and weekends is required. Customer service experience is not required but is preferred.

Sales Executive (full-time position)
Status at this time: Closed

Coordinates with the Box Office and Marketing for processing of Group Sales and solicitations. Handles sales and promotions for various annual family touring shows and sporting events. Assists in the development of the annual Group Sales Event Planner. Coordinates several mailing, printing jobs and all other pertaining facets of promoting events. Receives and resolves guest questions and concerns. B. A. or one to two years related experience and/or training is required.

Ticket Sales Internship (part-time temporary unpaid position)

This is an unpaid internship in the Ticket Sales Department of the St. Louis Blues/Scottrade Center, St. Louis’ premier sports and entertainment facility. Intern will be part of a results-centered sales and service team assisting the department in all elements of the ticketing operation including, planning, implementation, and follow-through of a successful ticket sales program. This is an excellent opportunity for driven individuals to get business experience in the sports industry. Duties include data entry of customer information, database review and analysis, assisting with sales promotions, mailers and in-game information tables. Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills are a must. Undergraduate students preferred. Intern must be willing and able to adapt to a fast-paced environment, have knowledge of Microsoft Office, and excellent phone presence. Previous exposure to high volume sales activities is preferred. An hourly base plus commission and excellent benefits package are available for the right candidate.
