Box Office (part-time position)
Status at this time: Closed

Sells admission tickets by performing the following duties. Uses ticket dispensing machine that automatically ejects number of tickets requested by patron. Accepts payment and makes change. Answers questions concerning schedules and reservations, and gives information concerning coming attractions. Keeps daily balance sheet of cash received and tickets sold. Fills reservations for seats by telephone or mail. The employee must frequently lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Box Office Manager (full-time position)
Status at this time: Closed

This position reports directly to the Box Office Director. Responsibilities include overall, day-to-day operations of the ticket office, including daily reconciliation of ticket office income and event settlement. The selected candidate will serve as event management/ promoters liaison; initiate and maintain communication with clients (promoters) concerning all ticketing related issues; assist the Box Office Director in the supervision and coordination of Box Office staff. Candidates must have excellent communication and customer service skills. The selected candidate must have 1-2 years supervisory/management experience working in a ticket office. Experience using the Ticketmaster system is preferred. Candidate must also be able to work long and irregular hours in a fast paced environment. Competitive salary and benefits package offered. Please note that a relocation package is not available.

Building Security Officer (full-time position)

This position is a 32-hour per week position. However, a competitive benefits package is offered. The primary responsibility of the position is providing 24-hour security of the building on a rotating shift. Specific duties include performing interior/exterior patrols, monitor an operate the CCTV System; access control system; fire prevention system and key control system, as well as enforce Scottrade Center standards and assist the Guest Service staff with crowd management. Candidate must possess strong communication skills, basic computer knowledge and hold a current city security license. Previous security and guest service experience is required. Selected candidates will report to the Security Manager.

Guest Security (part-time position)
Status at this time: Closed

Performs security activities and tasks as directed. Patrols assigned areas of the building. Secures entrance doors, escalators, stairwells, lobbies, concourses, stage and backstage areas. Performs visual and/or physical checks of guests for contraband. Monitors guests and enforces rules. Assists Guest Service staff in crowd management, seating discrepancies, clearing aisles and settling disputes. If necessary, ejects guest(s) with minimum force and disruption. Informs supervisor of developing or potential problems. Picks up large trash in aisles and maintains a clean and safe work environment. Must be 21 years of age for this position and able to obtain an unarmed security license with the City of St. Louis (this requires a background check). (Local 1)

Guest Service Administrative Assistant (full-time position)

Acts as a critical first point of contact for guests and employees as well as handles all Guest Service Department administrative functions. Responsibilities include organizing and coordinating the department’s staff schedules, payroll and files. Other duties include organizing and handling the department budget, event files and event related Guest concerns. Qualifications include one to two years Customer Service experience (both in person and on the phone) and administrative experience. Candidate must have strong written and oral communication skills and demonstrate strong organizational skills. Candidate must also have the ability to multi-task in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a must.

Guest Service Director (full-time position)
Status at this time: Closed

This position is responsible for overall event operations including event management, supervision of Guest Services and Security staff, as well as liaison with major tenants and local police. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training Guest Service staff, supervising and assigning posts, conducting pre-event briefings including details of the event and any special requirements. Position is also responsible for overall crowd management, implementing an Emergency Operations Plan, updating written documents, conducting drills, managing Guest Service Center including lost and found, reviewing all incident and first aid reports and oversees all department budget and administrative functions. The selected candidate must have management experience at a similar multi-purpose sports and entertainment facility and possess exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with many people at a rapid pace; must be proficient in handling multiple tasks and deadlines. Must be available to work varied hours and days, including working all events. Knowledge of Microsoft Word is required. Knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Outlook is preferred.

Guest Service Host (part-time position)

Greets, escorts and/or directs guests to correct seat. Takes, tears and counts tickets at the turnstiles and keeps lines moving in an orderly manner. Provides information, assistance and gives directions to guests. Resolves basic seat discrepancies, relocations and disabled guest requests. Monitors section for rule compliance, (i.e. smoking, drug use and unruly behavior). Visually monitors for contraband and informs guests of their options. Picks up large trash in aisles and maintains a clean and safe work environment. (Local 1)

Guest Service Manager (full-time position)
Status at this time: Closed

Responsibilities include managing the day-to-day activities of the Guest Service department and event related activities. Specific duties include overall crowd/event management and operations; resolving guest concerns; interviewing and training new employees; creating schedules and work assignments for Guest Service employees as well as providing coaching/counseling to employees and coordinate with production managers, promoters, team officials and other building departments for each event. Candidates must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written as well as excellent customer service and organizational skills. Must be able to work irregular hours (including evenings and weekends), work under pressure, recognize problems and find solutions. Bachelor’s degree and event management experience required as well as working knowledge of Microsoft Office. This position will not be available until September 2005. Guest Service Supervisor (part-time position)
Status at this time: Closed

Responsibilities include Supervision of Guest Service Host and Guest Security, conduct Guest Service team member training and assist in general event operations. Ensure guest service team members and appearance standards are maintained. Strong communication skills are essential and excellent guest service background is required. Candidates must possess energetic leadership skills and have thorough knowledge of the facility layout and basic Scottrade Center operations.

Seasonal Ticket Sales Host (part-time position)
Status at this time: Closed

Primary responsibility is the selling of admission tickets. Duties include utilizing the ticket-dispensing machine for distributing tickets to patrons; accepting payment and making change; answering questions concerning event schedules, reservations and coming attractions as well as keeping daily balance sheets of cash received and tickets sold. Selected candidate must have previous ticket sales experience in a Box Office Environment. Excellent customer service, cash handling, communication and organizational skills are required as well as basic computer knowledge. Experience with the Ticketmaster system is preferred. Security Manager (full-time position)

Primary responsibilities include overseeing Building Security, Guest Security and serving as liaison with local law enforcement. Other responsibilities include overall crowd/event management and operations; hiring and training new employees; and responding to guest concerns. Position reports to the department director in managing day-to-day activities of the Guest Service Department and event-related activities. Candidates must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent organizational skills. Must be able to work irregular hours (including evenings and weekends), work under pressure, recognize problems and find solutions. Candidates must also have 5-7 years police and/or security experience and previous supervisory experience. Event Management experience is also preferred. Working knowledge of Windows’ 98 required.
