The North American leg of BlackBerry Presents “The E.N.D. World Tour 2010” is the group’s most ambitious stage production to date, and has been acclaimed by critics across the country. The New York Times called the show “pop’s latest sci-fi spectacle,” and RollingStone.com described it as “kind of Buck Rogers meets Vivienne Westwood,” while the Boston Globe recognized the Peas as “full-throttle performers seemingly made for arena-ready entertainment.” The Baltimore Sun praised the concert as “a dizzying digital love fest” and “a night of eye-popping excess,” and Connecticut’s The Day was awed by concerts they called “effects-flaunting, hydraulics-loving, confetti-spewing extravaganzas.”
The Black Eyed Peas’ #1 album The E.N.D. is RIAA-certified triple platinum in the U.S., selling more than 2.2 million copies in the U.S. and 6 million copies and counting worldwide. It is strong as ever at #4 this week, in its 38th week on the Billboard 200 albums chart. The group’s newest single, “Imma Be,” just earned its 2nd week at the #1 spots on Billboard’s Hot 100 and Hot Digital Tracks charts, with sales over 1.5 million and Top 10 download status at iTunes. The smash hit follows record-breaking, consecutive #1 singles “Boom Boom Pow” (12 weeks at #1, and 4.9 million sales to date) and “I Gotta Feeling” (14 weeks at #1, and 5.1 million sales to date), the most downloaded song in iTunes history.
