ARENA SPECIFICATIONS

Scottrade Center is able to accommodate many types of events






Square Footage/Floor Dimensions

Total arena floor size: 36,000 square feet (120′ x 300′)

Total NHL ice:  17,000 square feet (85′ x 200′)

Floor load:  350 pounds per square foot



Total Seating Capacity

Scottrade Center is able to accommodate many types of events, from major concerts and family shows to basketball and professional tennis. Approximate seating capacities are:

19,150 for hockey

22,000 for basketball, concerts and other stage events

10,000 for soccer



Stage Dimensions

The portable stage is 60′ x 48′ without wings. Added wings extend the stage 12′ x 24′ on each side. Rolling stage is accessible to the disabled and may be carpeted or uncarpeted as desired. An in-house barricade is also available.



Rigging Information

Floor to beam height: 95′

Maximum rigging load: 120,000 pounds

Maximum weight per point: 5,000 pounds

Catwalk and safety lines are available.

Extra rigging grid at stage end and at center stage with 32′ centers.



Dressing Rooms

Seven fully carpeted and finished dressing rooms with shower and restroom facilities are located directly off stage left on the event level. Four locker rooms with shower and restroom facilities are also available, two of them with training rooms.



Loading Facilities

A large freight door (featuring a ceiling height of 14’6") and dock with load levelers accommodate up to six semi-trucks and trailers. Interior doors provide for a controlled environment. Forklifts are available with extensions to provide 10′ of length and 5,000 pound capacity. Semi-truck trailers may drive directly onto the event floor adjacent to the stage for loading and unloading, minimizing load-in and load-out time.



Electrical Capacity

Exceeds 2,400 amps at 120/208 and 480 volts. Main power location is located upstage center, approximately 50′ from the stage. In-house electricians are available.



Lighting and Acoustics

State-of-the-art lighting is available with sports lighting dimming capabilities. Six Super Trooper Xenon spotlights, four Gladiator long throw Xenon spotlights, Twelve robotic moving lights with gobo projection are available. High quality acoustics feature a Meyers Sound System designed and engineered by Pro Sound Co. The system includes a fully computerized controller which automatically equalizes the system and gives up to date information on cluster status. The system is controlled at the sound board and operated by in-house technicians.



Scoreboard and Message Boards

Center-hung Daktronics ProStar scoreboard and a 360-degree ribbon board. The ribbon measures a circumference of 1,063 feet, making it the largest in any NHL arena. The video board displays picture elements on 10 millimeter pixel spacing. Each of the four main video boards measures about 15 feet wide and nine-feet seven-inches high. There are eight screens atop the scoreboard. Each of those about 12-feet wide and six-feet six-inches high with a 20 millimeter pixel spacing. There are also four bottom screens measuring 15 feet wide and 2.5 feet high. A Large Daktonics message board is located on the building’s exterior facade facing Interstate 64 (U.S. 40).

EVENT SERVICES

In-House Security

A security manager and 24-hour building security patrols are able to design a comprehensive security program for each event.


In-House Marketing Services

Scottrade Center offers a full-service marketing department staffed by experienced professionals who offer a wide range of marketing, advertising, promotions and public relations expertise for any event. The marketing department can develop and execute a comprehensive marketing plan for any event, including pricing strategies, media buying, promotions and publicity campaigns. Available services include:

Advertising planning and implementation

  • development of advertising schedules, based on analysis and selection of appropriate media
  • coordination of design and production of print, radio, television and outdoor ads
  • placement of all advertising, utilizing Scottrade Center’s local contract rates where available

Promotional planning and execution

  • development of promotional ideas for media and third parties
  • coordination and implementation of all promotional elements, including discount coupon production and distribution, register-to-win programs, point-of-purchase materials, third-party advertising tags, etc.

Public relations services

  • writing and distribution of standard press releases
  • development of feature story ideas with pitches to appropriate media
  • development and execution of media "drops"
  • creation, staging and coordination of publicity events
  • comprehensive media follow-up
  • coordination of press credentials (if appropriate)
  • coordination and set up of press box, press row and press workroom (if appropriate)


Group Sales

A full-service group sales department is available to meet all group sales needs.


Hospitality

A divisible VIP "green room" with restroom facilities is available to event producers. For special events, The Bud Light Zone or 14th and Clark bar are available for rent.


Press Rooms

A press lounge, kitchen, press workroom and darkroom are available on the event level. Additionally, television and radio booths, working press area, and press lounge are located on the penthouse level. Full broadcast capabilities include television feed throughout the building for both remote and event broadcasts.


Food and Beverage Services

Facilities include a 500-seat restaurant; 150-seat, 300 capacity bar; traditional concessions and specialty food courts. Quality customized catering is available to all performers.


Merchandising

Scottrade Center’s flagship store, True Blue Authentics, is located near the main entrance on the Plaza Concourse. Assorted other retail locations, both permanent and mobile, are located on the Plaza and Mezzanine concourse levels.


In-House Telephone Service

Complete teleconferencing capabilities, fax and copying services are available. In-house control provides for temporary phone lines during events.


In-House Closed-Circuit Television Service

An in-house closed-circuit television service is available with feed to Scottrade Center’s scoreboard, concession areas, restaurants and suites.


Video and Audio Productions

A multi-camera analog control room supports Scottrade Center’s Daktronics ProStar video scoreboard and In-House television System. HD, SDI, and analog recording, six channel instant replay and ENG/Grip equipment are available. Additional features include, HD video editing production suites, 3-D animation/graphics, Streaming video, and digital audio recording.


Access for Persons with Disabilities

Scottrade Center is equipped to accommodate the needs of persons with disabilities. This includes wheelchair ramps, oversized entrance/exit areas and elevators, enhanced restrooms and seating areas, TDD ticket sales, interpreters for the hearing impaired, TDD public phones, first aid and other services.
